Scholarship From the Second Year:
First Class:
- 30,000 CNY Waiver
- Stipend: 3,000 CNY/Month (max 10 months/year)
Second Class:
- 30,000 CNY Waiver
- Stipend: 1,500 CNY/Month (max 10 months/year)
Third Class:
- 30,000 CNY Waiver
- Stipend: 1,000 CNY/Month (max 10 months/year)
Note: Only those who have ① IELTS-5.5 or Duolingo-90 or TOFEL-75 ② GPA of Master degree to be higher than 75/100 or 3.0/4.0 both can get tuition fees and accommodation fees free with stipend according to the major for first year only. Otherwise need to pay the original fees.
Age Limited: under age of 33 (high school graduation age must be under 19 years old)
Rules and Regulations and Scholarship Evaluation for International Students of WIT
- What kind of Scholarships you can obtain from the second year of major study depends on your comprehensive performance, details as following:
- Basic conditions:
- Friendly toward China; complies with Chinese laws, public morals, and social order.
- Studies diligently; practical and rigorous; proactive; excellent academic record; no failed courses; attendance rate ≥95%.
- Actively participates in physical exercise; physically and mentally healthy.
- Honest and trustworthy; no record of malicious debt.
- Complies with university regulations; no disciplinary sanctions, or any previous sanctions must have been revoked prior to evaluation.
- Additional criteria:
- First-class scholarship: All coursework in the academic year with average score ≥80; active participation in school or social practice activities.
- Second-class scholarship: Average score ≥75; active participation in school or social activities.
- Third-class scholarship: Average score ≥70; active participation in school or social activities.
- Additional point deductions or bonus items shall follow the evaluation scheme issued for that year.
- Proportion of the scholarships for each level may fluctuate slightly while the total coverage remains unchanged after rounding up the number of students participating in the evaluation. Paying all tuition and accommodation fees incurred during the period of study at first is a prerequisite for scholarships. The graded scholarship will be paid to the student's designated bank account of WIT by the financial department of WIT after the evaluation.
- Those who fail to continue scholarship must bear all the cost.
- The stipends will be issued twice a year, in March and September each year, and the stipends for the previous five months will be issued each time.
- Students must come and register in the period of the registration date which is mentioned on the admission letter, it’s not acceptable to come earlier or later than the date. The scholarship will be canceled automatically while students can’t arrive in time.
- The evaluation for the Graduate Comprehensive Scholarship also includes supervisor assessment, where the graduate’s supervisor assigns a rating based on the applicant’s overall performance across five dimensions: learning attitude, academic competence, academic dedication, communication with faculty, and teamwork.Ratings are divided into different grades, with the following requirements:
A "Excellent" rating from the supervisor is a mandatory requirement for the First-Class Scholarship.
A rating of "Good" or above from the supervisor is a mandatory requirement for the Second-Class Scholarship.
- Students will get pre-admitted only who pass the interview arranged by the school.
- Applicants who doesn’t have English proficiency certificate required above while applying, please provide before 2026-04-02 if your GPA is qualified to get scholarship also. After providing the English proficiency certificate, you will get first year scholarship if your GPA is higher than 75/100 or 3.0/4.0.
