Kunming Medical University

Kunming Medical University (KMU), founded in 1933, is the largest specialized medical university for higher education, scientific research, and medical services in Yunnan Province, China. Recognized by major international bodies, it is a popular choice for international students, particularly for its English-taught programs. 

Campuses and Facilities

KMU operates three campuses in Kunming: Chenggong (main campus), Renmin West Road, and Pingzheng, covering nearly 1,500 acres. The university features:

1. Undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral degrees are offered across 18 schools and departments.
2. The university is well known for its six-year English-medium MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) program, which includes a one-year clinical internship.
3. Accreditation: KMU is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), and the ECFMG, making graduates eligible to practice medicine globally after passing local licensing exams.
